Mrs. John Mandelkow of near Struble passed away Saturday morning at the home of her son-in-law, J. H. Ahlfs, following a long illness. She was well and favorably known to older people here, having been a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Reading township. The funeral was held at 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon from the Reading township church with Rev. C. D. Nuoffer in charge.

Lillie Krause, daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Joe Krause, was born in Crawford county, Iowa, July 9, 1880, so had attained the age of 50 years, 9 months and 2 days. She had been a resident of Struble for 80 years. She is survived by her husband and her daughter, Mrs. John Ahlfs. She is also survived by her father, Joe Krause of Long Beach, Calif.; two brothers, Henry and Harry of Swan Valley, Idaho; three sisters, Mrs. Carl Jager of Idaho Falls, Idaho; Mrs. John Moran of Ellsworth, Minn.; and Mrs. Etta Krause of Blackfoot, Idaho.
