One of Sioux Center's oldest residents, John Lammers, died Sunday at the age of 92. Funeral services were held Wednesday at the Vander Ploeg Funeral Home and at the First Reformed church.

Burial was in the Sioux Center Community cemetery under the direction of the Vander Ploeg Funeral home. Pall bearers were John Lammers, Henry Lammers, William Lammers, Gerrit Harmelink, Jake H. Vande Brake and Gilbert Vande Brake.

John Lammers was born in The Netherlands October 10, 1861. He was married to Alice Neikamp February 5, 1892 and to this union three children were born, all of whom died in infancy. Mrs. Lammers died in May, 1927. Mr. Lammers remarried in 1927 when he was united with Winnie Vande Brake, who now survives.

Mr. Lammers was preceded in death by his three sisters and two brothers.
