MRS. LUINSTRA DIES

The sad news was passed about town last Friday [Dec. 26] that Mrs. Jacob Luinstra had passed away at her home north-east of Hull that mroning at 11:30 o'clock, following a severe stroke of paralysis. She was exactly fifty-six years and five months old.

Jennie Millema was born July 26, 1868 in the old country. Whan a young lady she came to this country and soon afterwards married Mr. Luinstra, living the entire time since coming to this country in the vicinity of Hull. She is survived by her husband, and seven children, namely: Peter, Martin, Alice, Dowie, John, Robert and Mitchell. She is also survived by one step-daughter, Mrs. Margie VanWyk of Davis, South Dakota, two sisters residing in the old country and two brothers, Joe of Doon and Robert of Maurice.

The funeral was held Monday afternoon from the First Reformed church by Rev. Collenbrander of Rock Valley and Rev. Stoppels of Hull.

Mrs.Luinstra was a good Christian woman, a faithful wife and a loving mother and her loss will be keenly felt by the family. She was stricken with a stroke of paralysis about two years ago and since that time had been a complete invalid. The final stroke that caused her death occurred at 6:30 Christmas day and she never regained consciousness.

The Index joins the host of friends of the family in extending sincere sympathy.
