Henry D. Plueger, 76, Akron, died Jan. 28 at the Akron hospital after a long illness. Services were at 1:30 p.m. Jan. 30 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Preston Township near Akron with the Rev. James Sandvik officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery. Pall bearers were Dwight Horton, Kenneth Horton, Dennis Horton, Richard Horton, Ronald Plueger and Randy Plueger.

Mr. Plueger was born Feb. 10,1897, in Sioux County. He married Alma Borchers on Nov. 28, 1918, in Le Mars. He farmed all of his life in the Akron, Ireton and Craig areas until his retirement in 1962.

Survivors include the widow; two daughter, Mrs. Clarence (Arlene) Horton of Hawarden and Mrs. Art (Fern) Horton of Pipestone, Minn.; a son, Darrell of Akron; 17 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Alex Klemme of Brunsville and Mrs. Walter Gerdes of Le Mars, and three brothers, Albert in California, John of Sioux City and Charlie of Brunsville
