Father Succumbs To Heart Attack

Funeral services were held on February 27 at the Wesley Methodist church in Akron for Walter Horton, 69, Akron resident who died of a heart attack the preceding Wednesday while riding in an automobile in Vermillion. Burial was in Riverside cemetery.

The father of Clarence Horton of rural Hawarden, Mr. Horton was a resident of the Akron community for nearly 30 years, having farmed in the area and moved to town in 1947.

Also surviving are the widow, four other sons, a daughter, two brothers, two sisters, 27 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
