VANDERMAATEN, REINDERS

Funeral services were held at the American Reformed Church in Orange City at 10:30 A.M., October 5 for Dr. Martin Van Der Maaten, 70, of Orange City, who died at his home in Orange City October 2 of an apparent heart attack.

Services were conducted by the Rev. Alvin A. Hook and burial was in West Lawn Cemetery at Orange City.

Dr. Van Der Maaten was born August 25, 1904, at Orange City. He married Pauline Reinders June 3, 1931, at Orange City.

He was a veterinarian at Alton 17 years and later operated the Veterinarian Clinic at Orange City until 1962. He also served for some time as a government meat inspector.

Survivors include the widow; a son, Dr. Martin J. Van Der Maaten, Ames; two granddaughters; two sisters, Mrs. Henry Kleinhesselink and Mrs. Gerrit Raak, both of Orange City, and a brother, Andrew of Orange City.
