Funeral services were held at the American Reformed Church in Orange City at 10 A.M., July 31, for George Mieras, 79, of Orange City, who died July 29 at the Orange City hospital.

Services were conducted by the Rev. Donald Lenderink and burial was in Sherman Township Cemetery at Maurice.

Mr. Mieras was born at Maurice June 15, 1896. He married Dena Raak February 27, 1919, at Orange City. The couple farmed in the Maurice area until 1944 when they moved to Orange City.

Survivors include the widow; a daughter, Mrs. Peter (Henrietta) Mulder of Luverne, Minn.; five grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and three sisters, Mrs. Arie Raak of Orange City, Mrs. Jane Fergersen of Los Angeles and Mrs. Ralph Vander Pol of Pella.
