Retired Farmer Dies Saturday

Funeral services for William Eilts, 85, retired Le Mars area fanner, were held at 2 p. m. Wednesday at Grace Lutheran church in Le Mars. Rev. Lowell Boetichcr officiated and burial Le Mars Memorial Cemetery.

Mr. Eilts died Saturday at a Sioux City hospital lifter a long illness. He was born March 18, 1882 in Reading township in Sioux county. He married Adeline Vander Hamm March 11, 1908. In 1945 he retired from farming and moved to Le Mars.

Survivors include the widow; a daughter, Mrs. Louis Borchers of rural Ireton; a brother, Reiner Eilts of Le Mars; two sisters, Mrs. William Meppen of Idaho Falls, Idaho, and Mrs. Henry Brabander of Le Mars; three grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
