Services Held For Donald Marshall

Funeral services for Donald L. Marshall, 29, were held April 26 in the Colonial chapel in Kirkland, Wash. Rev. Ritchie Ocheltree officiated and Virginia Robertson was organist. Interment was in Cedar Lawns Memorial park at Redmond, Wash.

Casket bearers included Leone Green, Harold Hale, Ed Falkner, Bill Eddy, Carl Forcier and Warner Reynolds.

Donald became ill about three weeks ago and was hospitalized at Kirkland, later being transferred to University hospital in Seattle. Doctors were flown to Seattle from various points in the country, but his illness was extremely rare and he did not respond to treatment. He died Sunday, April 23. Death was attributed to viral pneumonia.

Donald was born October 17, 1937, at Hawarden, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Marshall. He graduated from Hawarden high school in 1956. In the fall of that year he enlisted in the U. S. Coast Guard and served four years in
an active capacity and two years in the reserve. The major part of this time he was stationed in Michigan and Alaska.

He married Eileen Beach of Seattle in December of 1959.

Survivors include the widow; two daughters, Debbie Kay, 6, Brenda Lee, 2 1/2 ; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Marshall of Hawarden, and two brothers, Rodger of' Waterloo and Paul of Le Mars.

His mother returned to Hawarden by plane last Thursday after having been called to Washington by the critical illness of their son.
