Mrs. Schlumbohm Dies At Age 68

Funeral services for Mrs. Frank Schlumbohm, 68, who died Saturday morning at the Hawarden hospital after a brief illness, were held at 2 p. m. Monday at the Trinity Lutheran church, Rev. O. F. Pittack officiating; music was by the church choir and Verle Marienau with Mrs. R. C. Bunge as organist.

Casket bearers were Bernard Schumbohm, Theron Winterfeld, Robert Winterfeld, Verland Rollag, Dr. Charles Haines and Clarence Schmidt. Burial was in Grace Hill cemetery under direction of the Barnard-Dow Funeral home.

Mrs. Schlumbohm, the former Clara Winterfeld, was born January 11, 1899, near Sioux Center. She married Frank Schlumbohm February 4, 1920, at Sioux Center. They farmed northeast of Hawarden, moving to town when they retired in 1963.

Survivors include the widower; two daughters, .Mrs. Ray Benson and Mrs. Will Torwelle, both of Hawarden; two grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. August Schlumbohm of Hawarden and Mrs. Ernest Claussen of Sioux City, Iowa, five brothers, Lawrence Winterfeld of Chicago, Henry Winterfeld of Oakland, Calif., Rudolph Winterfeld of Sioux Falls, Marvin Winterfeld of Garretson, S.D. and Elmer Winterfeld of Sioux Center.
