Funeral services were held at St. Mary Catholic Church at Rock Valley at 10:30 A.M., November 12 for Henry Van Demore, 86, of Rock Valley, who died at a nursing home in Rock Valley November 7.

Services were conducted by the Rev. Nooney and burial was in Eden Cemetery in Hudson, S.D.

Mr. Van Demore was born August 20, 1888 in Atkinson, Ill. The family moved to a farm near Rock Valley. He married Mayme Gourley April 17, 1912, in Rock Valley.

The couple farmed near Flandreau and Hudson, S.D. During the past year, Mr. Van DeMore had been a resident of Valley Manor Nursing Home.

Survivors include the widow, a daughter, Mrs. Paul (Clayre) Scott of Hudson, S.D., two sons, Don of Hollywood, Calif, and C. J. Van DeMore of Hudson, S.D., two brothers, Joseph of Atkinson, Ill., and Aloysius of Geneseo, Ill., a sister, Mrs. Emma Crowe of Los Angeles, Calif., nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
