Funeral services were held at St. Mary Catholic Church in Hawarden, October 9 for Mrs. Vernon March, 65, of Hawarden, who died at the Hawarden hospital October 7.

Services were conducted by the Rev. William Carel and burial was in Grace Hill Cemetery at Hawarden.

Mrs. March, the former Jennie Herman, was born at Iroquois, S.D., October 19, 1909. She married Vernon March, July 16, 1929, at Elk Point, S.D. Mr. March died October 24, 1959.

Survivors include three sons, Vyrlen of American Falls, Idaho, Wilbur of Seal Beach, Calif., and Arnold of Hawarden; a daughter, Mrs. Don (Lucille) Gagnon of South Sioux City; two brothers, Charles Lowell of Hawarden and Frank Lowell of Sioux City; three sisters, Mrs. Letha Royalty of Romoland, Calif., Mrs. Elsie Herman of Tyler, Minn., and Mrs. Mable Murkins of Sioux City; 15 grandchildren, and five great grandchildren.
