Death of Mrs. Geo. Ehlers

Mrs. George Ehlers passed away at her home in Ireton last Friday noon. She had been a sufferer from heart trouble for over twenty years, and in recent years had suffered several strokes. She suffered a very severe stroke about six weeks ago and had since been bed fast. Funeral services were conducted at the Ireton Lutheran church, of which she was a member on Monday afternoon, conducted by the pastor, Rev. J. E. Rich. Schmidt, and interment was made in the Lutheran cemetery.

Fanny G. Wolken was born at Dillon, Marshall county, Iowa, Jan. 7, 1863, and died at Ireton Feb. 18, 1921, at the age of 58 years, 1 month and 11days. She grew to young womanhood at Dillon and on April 19, 1881, was united in marriage with. George Ehlers.

In 1898 the family moved to Struble, Iowa, and four years later came to Ireton. Eight children were born to this union, three sons and five daughters, who with the husband are left to mourn her departure. The children are Mrs. B. Goodmanson, Mrs. A. Schwiderski, Mrs. H. Puck, Harry, Carl and Ernest Ehlers, all of Ireton. She also leaves four brothers and one sister. A number of relatives from Dillon, Paullina and Marcus were here to attend the funeral.
