Hawarden Independent, Hawarden, Sioux, Iowa, USA Thursday, March 19, 1999

Cleo Agnes Johnson, 83, of Boulder, CO, formerly of Sioux City, died Saturday, March 6, 1999, in Boulder.

Services were at 2 p.m. Monday at Glad Tidings Lighthouse Church in South Sioux City, with Rev. Michael Ring officiating. Burial was in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Mrs. Johnson was born May 13, 1915, in Akron, the daughter of Bert and Lillian (Butler) Peck. She attended Akron schools. She married William B. Johnson on September 19,1934, in Akron. The couple farmed in Union County, SD, until 1945, when they moved to California. They returned to Akron in 1954 and moved to Sioux City in 1957. He died February 6,
1975.

Survivors include a son and his wife, William and Shirley Ann, of Boulder; a daughter and her husband, Kay and Pete Noyd, of Salem, OR; four sisters, Marlys Brewer, of South Sioux City; Bernice Hanson, of Rapid City, SD, Marilyn Peck and Mary Lou Rich, both of Sioux City; a brother, Bernard Peck, of Hawarden; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by three brothers and a sister.Pallbearers were Jeff Johnson, Gene Jurgensen, Alvin Morehouse, Glen and EuGene Brewer and Hubert Kulvick.
