Lynn Sorgdrager (His tombstone marker is engraved with the years: 1903-1971.)

Funeral services were held at
the Van Etten Funeral Home,
Orange City, Saturday afternoon
for Lynn Sorgdrager of Alton who
died April 13 after an extended
illness. Interment was at Nassau
Twp. cemetery west of Alton.
Pallbearers were Rich Foreman,
Val Plagge, Ray De Jong,
Lawrence Ruppert, William Gebauer
and John Reeff.
He was born May 2, 1904, at
Alton, the son of Cornelius and
Mary (Sol) Sorgdrager, and in
1929 married Miss Beatrice
Bonneville at Alton who survives
him. Five children also survive—
Ruth Huls of West Covina, Calif.;
David of Artesia, Calif.; Joel of
Alta Loma, Calif.; Mark of Mira
Lorn a, Calif.; and Rose Anne of
Glen A von, Calif. One daughter,
Mary Ann, preceded him in death.
Also surviving are nine grand-
children; one sister, Mrs. Tracy
Keizer of Alton, and four brothers—
Ed of Orange City, Harry of
Remsen, Casey of Sioux Falls and
Robert of Alton.
Here for the funeral services
from out of town were his brother
Casey, wife and son Roger of
Sioux Falls; Mrs. Harriet Feekes
and Mrs. Lambert Roxeboom,
both of Sheldon; Mrs. Marshall
Rees, Seney;Mrs. Gerald Noack,
Sheldon; Lewis Keizer, Sioux
City.
The children who came were
LeRoy and Mrs. Huls and son of
West Covina, David and Mrs.
Sorgdrager and two sons, Joel and
Mrs. Sorgdrager, Mark Sorgdrager,
and Mrs. Rose Anne Minten.
