Rites Held For John Muller,84

Requiem high mass for John Muller,84, who died Friday at Hawarden hospital after having suffered a broken hip in a fall Thursday of the preceding week, was offered at St. Mary's Catholic church at 9 o'clock Monday morning. Fr. L. Friedman was the celebrant with burial at St. Mary's cemetery under the direction of the Barnard Funeral home. The rosary was recited at the Barnard Funeral home at 8 o'clock Sunday evening.

Mr.Muller was born in Luxemburg on January 18,1877,and came to the United States, settling in the Hawarden area, 50 years ago. For Many years he was a car inspector for the Chicago and North Western railroad here.

Prior to comming to Hawarden he married Mary Koob, to which union three children were born, in Luxemburg. Mrs. Muller died in 1947. Mr. Muller was a member of St. Mary's parish and belonged to the Woodmen lodge.

He is survived by a son, Otto Muller of Minneapolis; two daughters, Mrs. Tille Ross of Hawarden and Mrs. Julie Bechtel of Phoenix, Ariz.; a sister-in-law, Mrs.Susan Theis of Hawarden; five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren
