PAUL VANDE KIEFT
Paul Wayne Vande Kieft, 24, Orange City, died Wednesday, May 25, 1994 at the Orange City Hospital.
Services were held Saturday, May 28 at 10:30 a.m. at the Bethel Christian Reformed Church in Sioux Center. Rev. Robert Howerda officiated. Burial was in Memory Gardens Cemetery, Sioux Center, under direction of the Memorial Funeral Home.
Paul was born to Harold and Katherine (Vonk)Vande Kieft on April 13, 1970 in Orange City. He graduated from Sioux Center Christian School in 1984 and Unity in 1988. In 1991, Paul graduated from Iowa Lakes Community College with an Associate of Arts Degree. On May 14 of this year he graduated from Northwestern College with a Bachelor of Arts. He was an employee at Mix-rite in Sioux Center.
Paul became a member of Bethel Christian Reformed Church on Sept. 11, 1988 where he was a Sunday school teacher. He was a 4-H leader for the horse division. He was an avid horse lover and was a Northwest Iowa Association member. Paul was a member of the Sioux Center Saddle Club and the Orange City Saddle Club.
Survivors include his parents in Orange City; two brothers and two sisters, Wanda Vande Kieft of Orange City, Harlan and his wife Marla of Sioux Falls, S.D., Kay and her husband Neal of Orange City, and Brian of Orange City; a niece, Kathleen Koole; nephew Matthew Vande Kieft; and grandparents Wilbert and Henrietta Vande Kieft and Ben Vonk Sr., all of Sioux Center. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother Jeannie Vonk.
