MARILYN REPPERT
Marilyn A. Reppert, 50, of Ireton died Wednesday, Oct. 15, 1997, at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn. from complications of a blood clot in her lung. Services were held Monday, at Faith Lutheran Church in Orange City with the Rev. David Daumer and the Rev. Paul Sieveking officiating. The Porter-Dow Funeral Home in Ireton was in charge of directions. Mrs. Reppert was born Dec. 13, 1946, at West Point Neb., the daughter of Erwin and Marcella (Tietz) Ruehling. She attended Wayne State College in Wayne, Neb. and graduated from Northwestern College in Orange City. She married Roger Reppert on Aug. 20, 1967, in Bancroft. The couple lived in Sherburn, Minn. before moving to Ireton in 1976. She helped her husband build his veterinary practice and also worked as bookkeeper for the clinic.She was organist for St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Ireton and taught Sunday School, Confirmation, and was LYF Counselor. She was currently a member of Faith Lutheran Church, Beta Sigma Phi Xi Theta Tau Sorority and held several offices in the Iowa District West LWML and Tri-State Veterinary Women's Auxiliary. She was co-chair of the 1997 Unity Christian High School After Prom Committee and was an active supporter of the American Quarter Horse Youth Association. Survivors include her parents of Bancroft; her husband; four daughters, Gail and her husband, Kevin Nieuwsma of Apple Valley, Minn., Terri and her husband, Harlyn Vander Griend of York, Neb., Randi Reppert of Apple Valley, and Erin Reppert of Ireton; two grandchildren, Kori andJordan Nieuwsma; a sister and her husband, Shirley and Keith Jansen of Valley, Neb.; a brother and his wife, Dale and Bobbi Ruehling of Schuyler, Neb.: and many nieces and nephews.
