LEONE E. POSTMA
Mrs. Leone Postma, age 80, of Orange City, passed away Thursday, October 16, 1996 at the Orange City Municipal Hospital. The funeral services were Saturday, October 18 at the Oolman Funeral Home in Orange City, with Pastor Jack Gary officiating. Leone was born October 20, 1916, in rural Edgerton, Minnesota, the daughter of Steve and Ella (Hartog) Jasper. On June 8, 1939, she married Calvin Postma at Orange City. He was a soldier who died during World War II.Leone lived in Orange City most of her life. In 1989, she became a resident of the Christian Retirement Home in Sheldon. In April of 1994, she transferred to the Long Term Care Facility in the Orange City Municipal Hospital. Mrs. Postma was a member of the Calvary Christian Reformed Church in Orange City. Survivors include her sister-in-law, Alice Jasper, of Edgerton; and nephews and nieces. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Vernon Jasper.
