Ella Fleshman Dies at Age 70
Funeral Services for Miss Ella Fleshman, 70, lifelong resident of this community who died Friday at her home here after suffering a heart attack, were held at 2 o'clock Monday afternoon at the First Baptist church. Dr. Franklin Morse officiated with burial in Grace Hill cemetery under the direction of the Barnard Funeral Home.
Casket bearers were Elmer Ericson, Emil Ericson, Kenneth Carlson, Henry Husted, Leland Blomberg and James Robertson. James Squier, the Soloist, was accompanied by Irvin Berglund at the organ.
Miss Fleshman was born in Hawarden on August l6, l892 and resided her entire lifetime in the house in which she was born. She was a member of the Good Will Class and past member of the Ladies Aid Society. She had served as assistant Sunday School teacher.
Her brother, Carl, resided with her.
Survivors include two brothers, Carl of Hawarden
and Fred of Wall, S. D. and a sister, Mrs. Ralph Doty of Hawarden; one niece, and two nephews.
