MOVILLE, Iowa - Viola J. Blemaster, 78, of Moville died Wednesday, March 3, 2004, at Moville United Methodist Church. with the Rev. Harold E. Werley officiating. Burial will be in Westlawn Cemetery, Orange City. Iowa. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. today, with the family present 6 to 8 p.m., at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of Christy-Smith McCulloch Chapel in Moville.
Mrs. Blemaster was born Dec. 10, 1925, in Hospers.
Iowa. She grew up and attended school in Hospers. graduating from Hospers High School in 1943. She graduated from Northwestern College in Orange City in 1945, and earned her bachelor degree from Morningside College in 1972.
She married Albert Blemaster on May 30, 1956, in Sibley, Iowa. She taught in area schools for 42 years. the last 25 of which were at Woodbury Central Schools in Moville. She was a member of Moville United Methodist Church, where she sung in the choir and taught Sunday School.
She is survived by her husband, Albert Blernaster of Moville; a son and his wife, Elton and Karla Blemaster of Pierre, S.D.; a sister, Nellie Fox of Oregon; and many nieces. nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters.
