Alton - Mrs. Kathleen Mary Pawlowski, 53, died Tuesday at the Sioux County Care Center.

Services were at 1:30 P.M., Friday in St. Mary's Catholic Church at Alton. The Rev. Mervin Hood officiated. The Rosary was said at 3 P.M., and 8 P.M., Thursday, in the parish hall. Burial was in the parish cemetery, with the Van Etten-Oolmman Funeral Home of Orange City in charge.

Mrs. Pawlowski, the former Kathleen Mary Schnoes, was born Aug. 11, 1924, in Plymouth County. She moved to Chicago at age 18. She was married there in February of 1948. She returned to Alton in 1972, and entered the care center in 1974.

She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church.

Survivors include the husband, Joseph, of Rosemount, Ill.; a daughter, Mrs. James (Anita) Groholski of Hanover Park, Ill.; a grandson; four sisters, Mrs. Virgil (Elsie) Albers and Mrs. Urban (Bertha) Dykstra, both of Alton; Mrs. Glen (Esther) Malcom of Griswold and Mrs. James (Magdalen) Ehlers of Red Oak; and three brothers, Frank and Bernard, both of Paullina, and John of Cherokee.
