Rock Valley - Joint funeral services for accident victims Arthur Vande Hoef, 55, formerly of Rock Valley, and his brother-in-law, Bert Van Kekerix, 47, of Rock Valley, were at 10 A.M., last Monday in The Netherlands Reformed Church here. The Rev. Joel Beeke of Sioux Center officiated.

Burial of Mr. Vande Hoef was in Lynden, Wash., on Wednesday. The Porter Funeral Home of Rock Valley was in charge of arrangements.

The two victims were killed Thursday in a truck-train accident near Hills, Minn.

Mr. Vande Hoef, of Lynden, Wash., was born July 9, 1923 at Ireton. He married Suzanne Den Boer Dec. 29, 1944 at Luverne, Minn. They farmed in the Rock Valley area, and moved to Lynden in 1961.

Survivors of Mr. Vande Hoef include the widow; six sons, Martin, Darryl, John and Gary, all of Lynden, Larry of Custer, Wash., and Rodney of Everson, Wash.; three daughters, Mrs. Alvin (Sharon) Maas of Everson and the Misses Arlis and Doris, both at home; a brother, John M. of Rock Valley; five sisters, Mrs. Case (Gertrude) Schelling of Hull, Mrs. Joe (Ida) Van Veldhuizen of Battle Ground, Wash., Mrs. Jake (Margaret) Vande Stouwe of Hull, Mrs. Bert (Jeannette) Van Kekerix of Rock Valley, Mrs. Simon (Henrietta) Van Beek of Doon, and four grandchildren.
