Funeral services were held at Vander Ploeg Funeral Home here at 10 A.M., May 12 for John Nyhoff, 82, of Sioux Center, who died at the local hospital May 9.

Services were conducted by Howard Anthony and burial was in Memory Gardens cemetery here.

Mr. Nyhoff was born in Prairie View, Kan., April 16, 1893. He married Nellie Faber February 22, 1922 in Sioux Center. She died on January 15, 1969.

He farmed near Sioux Center for 3 years and later at Rock Valley for 12 years and at Orange City for 24 years. When he retired he moved to Sioux Center.

Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Henry (Jeanette) Schouten of Boyden and Mrs. Charles (Marlene) Bankers of El Paso, Tex.; three brothers, Ed and Neal, both of Holland, Mich.; and Herman of Hamilton, Mich.; two sisters, Mrs. Gertrude Green and Mrs. Jeanette Richter, both of Kalamazoo, Mich., and four grandchildren.
