Stanley, son of Syne and Christina (Broek) Sybesma, was born December 3, 1929 in Hull, Iowa. He lived his youth near Hull and attended the Hull Christian School.
He served in the United States Army from 1952 to 1954.
Stanley was united in marriage to Shirley Jeanette Nettinga on August 4, 1954 at Hull, Iowa. The couple farmed near Hull after their marriage.
He was a member of the First Christian Reformed Church of Sioux Center where he served as an elder and as a deacon. He also served on the Sioux Center Christian School Board and was also a Township Trustee.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley; two daughters and sons-in-law: George and Myrna Jean (Sybesma) Hoekstra of Orange City, Iowa; Evan and Wanda Faye (Sybesma) Vanden Bosch of Rock Valley, Iowa; seven grandchildren: Scott, Wendy, Jaci and Chad Hoekstra; Kristin, Bradley, and Kimberly Vanden Bosch; three brothers: William and John, both of Sioux Center and Syne of Sheldon; four sisters: Betsy and Gertrude Sybesma, Margaret Altena, all of Sioux Center, and Christina Rens of Hull. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers: Clarence and David.
