DEJAGER, DEBOER, ELGERSMA, JOHNSON, VELTEMA

HAWARDEN--Donald E. DeJager,43, of Rialto,Calif., a former Hawarden resident, died Thursday at a Middlletown, Wis.,hospital while visiting a brother after a lengthy illness.

Services were at 2:p.m. Tuesday in the Dow Funeral Home in Hawarden. The Rev. Ken Lewis officiated. Burial was in Grace Hill Cemetery.

Mr. DeJager was born Dec.2,1933, in Ireton. He lived in the Hawarden area until he married Grace DeBoer in Jun 1956, in Grand Rapids, Mich. The couple moved to California. He was a veteran of the Korean War.

Survivors include the widow; a son, Donald Jr. of Rialto; three daughters, Debra,Vicky,Yvonne, all of Rialto; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Bert DeJager of Hawarden; two brothers, Elmer of Akron and Clarence of Middletown, and four sisters,Mrs. William (Johanna)Elgersma of Hawarden, Mrs. Raymond (Henrietta)Johnson of Des Moines, Mrs. Adrian (Wilma) Veltema of Hudsonville, Mich., and Mrs. Mearl (Audrey) Veltema of Jenison, Mich.
