Mrs. Myna Hofmeyer, 72, died Thursday morning at her home.
She was born April 12, 1912, the daughter of Otto and Sarah (Lubbers) Mouw. She married John J. Hofmeyer, April 12, 1930, at Orange City and was a lifelong area resident. The couple farmed near Carnes. Mr. Hofmeyer died October 5, 1971. She moved to Orange City in 1973.
She was a member of Trinity Reformed Church, the women’s guild, Trinity booster Club, Better Homes and Garden Club, and Senior Citizens group.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. LuVerne (Ruth) Vanderham, of Orange City; a son, Elmer, of Orange City; four brothers, Henry, Ralph, and Vernon, all of Orange City, and Alfred of Sheldon; five grandchilden and four great-grandchilden.
She was preceded in death by one sister, Mrs. Ted (Jennie) Rowerdink.
