Bert Dykstra, 87, of Sioux Center died Friday at a Sioux Center hospital.

Services were at 1:30 P.M., Tuesday at Bethel Christian Reformed Church in Sioux Center. The Rev. Henry Vanden Heuvel officiated. Burial was in Memory Gardens Cemetery in Sioux Center under direction of the Memorial Funeral Home of Sioux Center.

Mr. Dykstra was born Aug. 2, 1890, in The Netherlands. He came to the United States in 1911, and married Winnie Grassmid Dec. 14, 1920, in Grand Rapids, Mich. They lived in Ocheyedan, Sibley and Sheldon, where they farmed, and later retired to Sioux Center. His wife died May 30, 1972.

Survivors include a son, Jerald of Akron; a brother, Peter of Webster, N.Y., and two sisters, Alice Bangma of Webster, N.Y., and Sadie Bremer of Ellendale, Minn.
