Esther Zeutenhorst June 23, l908-November ll, l995

Esther Zeutenhorst, 87, of Sioux Center dies Saturday, November 11, at the Sioux Center hospital.
Memorial services were at l0:30 a.m. Monday, November 13, at First Reformed Church in Sioux Center with the Rev. Mark De Witt officiating. Burial was at 9:30 a.m. at the Sherman Township Cemetary at Maurice.
Mrs. Zeutenhorst was born June 23, l908, in Maurice, the daughter of Conrad J. and Anna (Mouw) De Jong. She grew up in the Maurice area and took nurse's training in Sioux City. She worked as a nurse in Hull, Los Angeles, California, and Sioux Center. She married James Hotalen and lived at various locations while he was in the military. She later returned to Maurice and married Gerritt Zeutenhorst on December 28, l965. He died March l5, l98l.
Survivors include three sons and their wives, Roger Hotalen and Carol of Poway, California, Herb and Marlee Zeutenhorst of Sioux Center and Doc and Julie Zeutenhorst of Sioux Center; a daughter and her husband, Denice and Art Bickel of Conyers, Georgia; a sister-in-law, Jeanette De Jong of Orange City; nine grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Wilbur J. De Jong.
Memorials may be given in her name to the World Home Bible League.
