Christine Klein de Bruyn, age 79, of Ames, died early Wednesday morning, Feb. 8 at the Mary Greeley Hospital in Ames.

She was born March 19, 1898 in Sioux Center, the daughter of Gerrit & Nellie Klein. She attended Hope College in Holland, Mich., and Iowa State Teachers College at Cedar Falls. Before her marriage she taught school in Sioux City and Pella, Iowa.

She is survived by her husband, one daughter Rosemary Taylor, of rural route Ames; two sisters, Mrs. Alice Scott of Spirit Lake and Harriet Klein of Minneapolis, Minn.; two grandsons John and Jeff. She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Nel.

Private services were held and she is to be buried in the Sioux Center cemetery at a later date.
