ROCK VALLEY--Mrs. Sam Koedam,81,Rock Valley died Saturday at Rock Valley hospital after a lengthy illness.

Service were at 1;30 p.m. Tuesday at Porter Funeral Home, Rock Valley, with the Rev.William Suyker officiating. Burial was in Valley View Cemetery.

Mrs.Koedam, the former Winnie Harskamp, was born March 14, 1896, in The Netherlands. She came to the United States at an early age. She married Ring Wallenburg March 3, 1914. He died April 1, 1967. She Married Sam Koedam Oct. 8, 1968 in Rock Valley, He died April 9, 1969

Survivors include seven sons, Tony Wallenburg of Rock Valley, Gilbert Wallenburg of Lakewood, Calif., William Wallenburg of Hawarden, Henry and Ring Wallenburg, both of Manteca, Calif., and Richard Wallenburg of Rock Valley; four daughters, Mrs.Hans (Alida)Burgers of Sioux Center, Mrs. Matt (Gertrude)Huisman of Rock Valley, Mrs. Rich (Christina)Rikkers of Hull and Mrs. Al (Wilma) VanBeek of Artesia,Calif.; four brothers, Jake, Gerrit, Edward and Bert, all of Sioux Center; four sisters, Mrs. Rochus Schelling, Mrs. Pete VanderWeide, Mrs. Richard Ravenswaay and Mrs. Henry VandeVegte, all of Sioux Center; 48 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren, six stepsons and four stepdaughters.
