Orange City - Morris Leusink, 58, of Orange City was dead on arrival Sunday, June 18, at an Orange City hospital after he was stricken with an apparent heart attack while riding in a car.

Services were at 10 a.m. Wednesday at The Calvary Christian Reformed Church. The Rev. Gerrit Docter and Mark Scheffers officiated. Burial was in Middleburg Cemetery under direction of the Van Gelder Funeral Home of Orange City.

Mr. Leusink was born February 1, 1920, in Middleburg. He married Gertrude Meendering on May 21, 1945, in Rippon, California. The couple came to Orange City in 1951 from Washington.

Mr. Leusink was an automotive mechanic for the past 30 years.

He was a member of Calvary Christian Reformed Church and the American Legion and served as an elder in the church consistory for 12 years.

Survivors include the widow; a daughter, Mrs. Lyle (Helen) Ohler of Grand Raids, Michigan; two sons, Gary of Sibley and Dale at home; five sisters, Mrs. Leonard (Pauline) Risseeuw of Clinton, Wisconsin, Mrs. Case (Cornelia) Van Batavia of Hull, Mrs. Bernard (Margaret) Wesselink of Ruthton, Minnesota, Mrs. Walter (Geneva) Vanderwood of Yakima, Washington, and Mrs. Irwin (Irene) Vande Griend of Edgerton, Minnesota, a brothers, Gilbert of Clinton, and four grandchildren.
