Elsie M. Anderson, 73, died May 14, 1976. Services were held at 2 P.M., Monday, May 17 at Nathanael Lutheran Church with Pastor George Metzenthin officiating.

She was born February 16, 1903, in Illinois and during her childhood moved with her parents to South Dakota. She was married October 7, 1922 to Julius E. Anderson. The couple farmed in the Alcester community until their retirement when they moved into the town of Alcester. After the death of her husband in 1969 Elsie continued to make her home in Alcester, where she pursued her hobby of raising flowers and making bridal dolls.

Mrs. Anderson was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran Faith and was a member of Nathanael Lutheran Church. She was also a member of the Lutheran Church Women and the American Legion Auxillary. She was active in the Senior Citizens Club and helped with Crafts at Morningside Manor.

Among the survivors are two sons; Earl of Omaha and Robert of Beresford; two daughters; Ruby (Mrs. Lloyd Abbott) of Hawarden and Joyce (Mrs. Dale Boerma) of Maurice; two brothers, Robert of Sioux Falls and Stanley of Janesville, Wisconsin; three sisters, Agnes (Mrs. Mon Lakness) of Beresford, Violet (Mrs. Melvin Peterson) of Brandon and Ruby (Mrs. Marvin Moe) of Sioux Falls, eleven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
