ROCK VALLEY--Mrs. John Holmstrom, 85, Rock Valley, formerly of Alvord, died Dec.27 in a Rock Valley hospital after a lengthy illness.

Services were at 2 p.m. Dec 30 Christ Lutheran Church in Alvord. The Rev.John Kronlokken officiated. Burial was in Lutheran Church in Alvord under direction of the Porter Funeral Homes of Rock Valley.

Mrs. Holmstrom, the former Dora Schemmel, was born March 17, 1891, in Rock Valley. She was married June 20, 1928, in Clark, SD. He died in 1942. She was a resident of a nursing home in Rock Valley.

Survivors includes five nephews and six nieces.
