Alton-Donald R. Heerde, 29, of Alton, died of electric shock Sept. 7 in an accident on the job site near Sioux Center.

Services were at 10 A.M., Sept. 10 in the First Reformed Church of Alton. The Rev. Clarence Greving officiated. Burial was in Nassau Township Cemetery at Alton, with the Van Gelder Funeral Home of Orange City in charge.

Mr. Heerde was born June 13, 1947 at Terril. He married Alice Faye Langstraat May 28, 1971 at Newkirk. He was employed by Midwest Pre-Casting Co. of Orange City.

He was a member of First Reformed Church, and of the Alton Jaycees.

Survivors include the widow, a daughter, Ann Marie and a son, David Ryan, all at home; the parents, Mr. & Mrs. Arthur Heerde of Archer and two brothers, Duane of Archer and Gary of Sheldon.
