William Wegner, 89, of rural Hudson, South Dakota, died on Monday, September 20, 1993, at his residence.

Services will be at 1:30 on Thursday afternoon, September 23, 1993, at the Porter-Dow Funeral Home in Hawarden, Iowa, the Reverend Willard Galloway officiating. Burial will be in Grace Hill Cemetery at Hawarden. Visitation will be Wednesday with family present from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Porter-Dow Funeral Home in Hawarden.

Mr. Wegner was born June 22, 1904, at Hawarden. He married Radah Wilkison on September 15, 1925, at Hawarden. They farmed near Hudson.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, LaRue of Slayton, Minnesota, and Winston of Hudson; two daughters, Mrs. Sharon Wold and Karma (Mrs., Bill) Shatter, both of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; three sisters, Hilda Henningsen of Grundy Center, Iowa, Irene Wegner of Hawarden and Emma (Mrs. Lawrence) Eilts of Ireton, Iowa; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by three brothers, Louis, Albert and Walter, and a sister, Alma (Mrs. Wes) Miller.
