Hawarden Woman Died on Sunday
Mrs. Nels Charbonno, who has been an invalid for a number of years, passed away Sunday morning. During her long illness her husband cared for her.
Funeral services were held at the Ross Funeral Home Wednesday afternoon with Rev. W. V. Bell of the Methodist Church in charge. Interment was in Grace Hill Cemetery.
Alice McCormick, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James McCormick, was born in Union County, S.D., May 13, 1873, so was past 7l years of age at the time of her death. She was married to Nels Charbonno December 16, l89l, at Orange City. To this union was born one son, Guy, who passed away a number of years ago. Besides her husband, she is survived by two brothers, John McCormick of Hawarden and Bert McCormick of Alcester and two sisters. She also leaves two grandsons and two great-grandsons.
Out of town relatives who attended the funeral were A.I. McCormick of Chicago, Mrs. S. J. Krug of Huron, S.D. and Mrs. Mary Moury of Mitchell, S.D.
