Orange City-- Henry Kots, 83, of Orange City, died Friday in an Orange City hospital.
Services were at l0:30 a.m. Monday in the First Reformed Church. Dr. Raymond Van Heukelom and the Rev. Perry Raak officiated. Burial was in Sherman Township Cemetery near Maurice with the Van Gelder Funeral Home in charge.
Mr. Kots was born Oct. 24, l893, at Maurice. He married Adrianna Schuller Jan. 12, l9l7, at Maurice. They farmed in the Maurice area until l964 when they moved to Orange City. Mrs. Kots died Aug. 6, l976. Mr. Kots was a member of the First Reformed Church.
Survivors include five sons, Orville of Bellflower, Calif., Lloyd of Maurice, Virgil of Sioux Center, Marvin of LeMars, and Darwin of Modesto, Calif.; four daughters, Mrs. Henry (Luverna) Kramer of Ireton, Mrs. Del (Lorna) Koel of Winifred, S.D., Mrs. William (Marjorie) Swisher of Merrill and Mrs. Bob (Helen) Chance of Sacramento, Calif.; 42 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Gerrit of Maurice and John of Orange City.
