Sioux Center--William De Vries, 78, of Sioux Center died Tuesday at a hospital in Orange City.
Services were at l:30 p.m. Thursday in the United Presbyterian Church at Alton. The Rev. Clarence Greving officiated. Burial was in Nassau Township cemetery, with the Memorial Funeral Home of Sioux Center in charge.
Mr. De Vries was born Jan. 8, l899 at Maurice. He married Ida Bleyenberg of Sioux Center at Ireton Feb. 21, l923. They resided near Ireton, Maurice, 43 years at Alton and the last 3 years in Sioux Center.
Survivors include the widow, two daughters, Mrs. Jonathon (Geraldine) Van Es of St. Paul, Minn.,
and Mrs. Donald (Audrey) Matthews of Sioux Falls; one son, Glen of Hartley; eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren; three brothers, Thomas of Andover, S.D., Dan of Maurice and John of Tillemook, Ore.; and three sisters, Mrs. Clarence (Minnie) Van Roekel of Tillemook, Mrs. Glen (Elsie) Rosdail and Mrs. Jake (Gertrude) Rosdail, both of Amana.
