Alton-Michael Herrig, 18, Alton, died Sept. 16 at a Sioux City hospital of injuries suffered in a construction accident Sept. 7.

Services were held at 10:30 A.M., Sept. 18 in St. Mary's Catholic Church at Alton. The Rev. Mervin Hood officiated. Burial was in the parish cemetery under direction of the Fisch Funeral Home of Remsen.

Mr. Herrig was born March 13, 1958 at Le Mars. He worked for Mid West Pre-Cast of Orange City since May. He lived in Alton all his life. He graduated from Spalding High school at Granville in May.

Survivors include his parents, Mr. & Mrs. Ervin Herrig of Alton; three brothers, Charles of Sioux City, Donald of Pottstown, Pa., and James of Iowa City; two sisters, Jolene of Omaha and Kathleen of Minneapolis, Minn.; and the maternal grandmother, Mrs. Joe Alesch of Marcus.
