Orange City --Melvin Dykstra, 67, formerly of Orange City, died May 30 at Fallon, Nevada.

Services were at 10:30 a.m. Friday in the Van Gelder Funeral Home at Orange City. The Rev. Frank Snuttjer officiated. Burial was in the Nassau Township Cemetery.

Mr. Dykstra was born July 9, 1910 in Sheldon. He married Marie Hart on July 7, 1951 in Sioux City.

He was a veteran of World War II. He was a furniture upholsterer in Minnesota and Nevada.

Survivors include a sister, Mrs. Thomas J (Ruth) DeJong of Orange City and a brother, the Rev. Kenneth A. Dykstra of Pella.
