Orange City --Mrs. William Vlietstra, 61, Orange City , died Monday, May 29, at an Orange City hospital after a brief illness.

Services were Thursday at the First Reformed Church. Dr. Raymond Van Heukelom and the Rev. Perry Raak officiated. Burial was at West Lawn Cemetery in Orange City under the direction of the Van Gelder Funeral Home.

Mrs. Vlietstra, the former Grace Den Hartog, was born January 12, 1917, in Orange City. She was married November 14, 1935, in Ireton. The couple lived near Inwood before moving to a farm west of Orange City in 1943.

She was a member of the First Reformed Church of Orange City.

Survivors include the widower; four daughters, Mrs. John (Wilma) Van Den Linden of Leota, Minnesota, Miss Genevieve Vlietstra of Sioux City, Mrs. Roger (Charlotte) Vander Schaaf of Lake Wilson, Minnesota, and Mrs. Robert (Shirley) Gochee of Muscatine; two sons, William Jr. of Orange City and Kenneth, at home; 11 grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. William (Rena) Bomgaars of Maurice and Mrs. Ed (Marie) Vreugdenhil of Sioux City, and two brothers, Henry of Luverne, Minnesota, and Gerrit of Fort Wayne, Indiana.
