Maurice, Joan R. Linnan, 72, of Maurice died Saturday at an Orange City hospital after a brief illness.

Services were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Maurice. The Rev. Gerald Feierfiel officiated. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

The rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. today by the parish and at 8:30 p.m. by the Catholic Daughter of American at the Luedtke Funeral Home, Le Mars.

Miss Linnan was born March 28, 1906, in Maurice and was a life-long Maurice resident. She was graduated from the University of Northern Iowa in Cedar Falls.

Survivors include two sisters, Miss Margaret Linnan of Maurice and Mrs. Leo W. (Eleanor) Fox of Palm Springs, California.
