Age-86 years, 3 months, 10 days

Interment-Hope Cemetery, Hull, Iowa

Susan was the daughter of Kornelius Nettinga and Susie (Bylsma) Nettinga. As a child, her family moved to the Perkins-Hull area.
In earlier years, she was a teacher in country schools around Perkins and later in schools at Hull and Hospers. She then moved to California. She later settled in Dallas, Texas, where she was a clerk in a department store, retiring about 1970.
In l985, she returned to Hull where she made her home with her sister, Catherine, and brother, Cathrinus. In November of l989, she became a resident of Pleasant Acres Care Center in Hull.
She was a member of the American Reformed Church.
Survivors include two sisters and a brother, Mrs. Peter (Agnes) De Groot, and Gerrit, both of Hull; and Mrs. Edward (Alice) De Boer, of Orange City; and nephews and nieces.
She was preceeded in death by four sisters, Dena, Jennie Warntjes, Julia Harmelink, and Catherine; and brother, Cathrinus.
