Hawarden--A. J. Elbert of Silverton, Ore., formerly of Hawarden died Tuesday in Silverton.
Services were at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Dow Funeral Home at Hawarden. The Rev. Marion Bloodworth officiated. Burial was in Grace Hill Cemetery.
Mr. Elbert was born July 10, l888 in Rock Valley. He married Madie Frank May 22, l909 in Canton, S.D. They resided in the Hawarden area until the early l940's when they moved to Silverton. He was a carpenter by trade.
He was a member of the Methodist Church, and of the Odd Fellows. Mrs. Elbert died Feb. 25, l968.
Survivors include a son, Don of Volga, S.D., and two daughters, Mrs. Evelyn Beran and Mrs. Stella Sullivan, both of Salem, Ore., and a brother Louis of Rock Valley; and one sister, mrs. Josephine Ritland of Eau Claire, Wis.; six grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
