HULL--Mrs. John Velgersdyk, 69, Hull, died Monday in the Sheldon Community Hospital following an illness of seven weeks.

Services were held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the First Christian Reformed Church in Hull. The Rev. John Fondse officiated. Burial was in Hope Cemetery in Hull under direction of the Kraai Funeral Home.

Mrs. Velgersdyk, the former Nellie VandeGriend, was born Aug. 21, 1907, near Hull. She was married Dec. 22, 1926. Mr. Velgersdyk died in 1975. Mrs. Velgersdyk participated in the Grandparents Program at Hope Haven in Rock Valley.

Survivors are four sons, Clarence of Minneapolis, Harold of Denver, Harvey of Inwood and Marion of Sioux Falls; 13 grandchildren; four brothers Jake VandeGriend of Doon, and Floyd, Andrew and Henry James VandeGriend, all of Hull, and two sisters, Mrs. Henry (Kathryn) Raman of Hull and Mrs. Henry (Carrie) DeRoo of Brooten, Minn.
