ORANGE CITY--Neal Brouwer, 87, of Orange City died Tuesday at Sioux Valley Hospitial in Sioux Falls

Services were at 1:30 p.m. Thursday in the First Reformed Church of Orange City. The Rev. Gerben Malda of Holland, Minn., officiated. Burial was in West Lawn Cemetery with the Van Gelder Funeral Home in charge

Mr. Brouwer was born Jan. 1, 1890 at Orange City and resided there most of his life. He married Jennie Mars Oct. 10, 1910 at Sanborn. The couple farmed, and in 1962 retired to town. Mrs. Brouwer died Dec. 22, 1967.

Survivors include a daughter Mrs. John (Gertrude) Vander Zeil of Holland; four sons John of Maurice, Peter of Le Mars, Richard of Leota, Minn., and louis of Woodstock, Minn.; 16 grandchildren and 11 Great-grandchildren; and a half-sister Mrs. Abe Van Peursem of Orange City.
