HOSPERS--Mince Oordt 76, a former Mayor of Hospers, died Jan 12 at an Orange City Hospital of long illness.

Services were at 1:30 p.m. Jan 14 in the First Reformed Church at Hospers. The Rev. Henry Vermeer and the Rev. Peter De Haan officiated. Burial was in Hospers Cemetery under direction of the Vander Ploeg Funeral Home of Sioux Center.

Mr. Oordt was born Dec. 9, 1900 at Hospers. He married Johanna Reuvers Dec. 11, 1924 at Sheldon. He did veterinary work. After his retirement he founded Pioneer Village near Hospers.

Survivors include the widow; three daughters, Mrs. Marion (Catherine) Den Hartog of Le Mars, Mrs. Gerrit (Joan) Otter of Lynden, Wash. and Mrs. Gary (Vicki) Vander Wilt of Aplington; 11 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren; two sister Mrs. William (Anna) Harkema of South Holland Ill. and Mrs. Edward (Gertrude) Vermeer of Sioux Center, and one brother, Jacob of Council Bluffs.
