Dr. Duane 'Doc' K. Peuse, age 60, died suddenly on Wednesday September 22, 2004 at home.
Duane Keith Peuse was born on February 11, 1944 in Orange City. He was the son of Evert and Cynthia VanPeursem Peuse. On Decembert 27, 1967, Duane married Laura DeBeer in Orange City. He graduated from Iowa State University, College of Veterinary Medicine in 1968. Upon his graduation, Duane and Laura moved to Holstein where he joined the Holstein Veterinary Clinic. The couple has made Holstein their home for the past 36 years.
Duane was an active member of St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church where he enjoyed singing in the choir. He always saisd 'You'll never work a day in your life if you love your job." and Duane truly loved his work. Besides work, he enjoyed hunting and fishing. However, his greatest pride and Joy were his children and granchildren.
Survivors include his wife: Laura of Holstein; children: Tomothy Peuse of Tulsa OK, Sarah (Doug) Hanson of DesMoines, Amy (Adam) Henderson of Green Bay WI, Michael (Naomi) Peuse of DesMoines, Adam Pause of Ames; gandchildren; Jonathan, Jack, Samuel, Abraham, and Cecilia; Mother Cynthia Peuse of Orange City; brother; Evan (Shawn) Peuse of Hudsonville MI; sisters - Lynne Peuse of Grand Junction CO and Shari (Don) Baker of Orange City.
He was preceded in death by his father.
