Died At Age 66
In Sioux Center

Funeral services for Albert D. Bonnema, 66, of Sioux Center, brother of Peter Bonnema and father of Mrs. Richard De Boon and Mrs. Norman Horstman, all of Hawarden, who died Tuesday, May 19, after a brief illness, were held the following Friday at the Christian Reformed church in Sioux Center. Rev. B. J. Haan and Rev. Howard Vanderwell officiated with burial in the Lebanon cemetery.

There were six active pall bearers and eight honorary pall bearers. Mrs. Ernest Gerritsma was organist.

Mr. Bonnema was born April 30, 1898, in Chicago. He farmed in the Sioux Center area most of his life. He married Henrietta Dekker in February, 1922, at Hull. To this union four children were born.

Mr. Bonnema was an active member of the First Christian church, serving as elder in the congregation.

Survivors include the widow, daughters, Mrs. De Boom and Mrs. Horstman, both of Hawarden, and Miss Verna Mae Bonnema of Grand Rapids, Mich.; a son Richard G. Bonnema or Ireton; three brothers, Peter of Hawarden, Dick of Paramount, Calif., and Henry of Ireton; four sisters, Mrs. Jake Harmsen of Artesia, Calif., Mrs. Peter Rynders of Hull, Mrs. Henry Niezen of Bellflower, Calif., and Mrs. Joe Vos of Sheldon, and eight grandchildren.
